ENFIELD Consortium gathers in Porto for Final General Assembly

Key achievements, assess remaining priorities and the final steps were between the main topics of discussion of the ENFIELD partners.

The ENFIELD consortium held its Final General Assembly on 15–16 October 2026, bringing together project partners at the headquarters of INESC TEC in Porto, Portugal, with participants joining both in person and online. The two-day meeting marked an important milestone as the project approaches its conclusion, providing an opportunity to review progress, consolidate achievements and discuss the final steps towards completing its objectives.

Coordinated by the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), the meeting focused on a comprehensive assessment of the project’s work packages, covering research activities, industrial applications and demonstrators. Partners shared their latest developments, evaluated ongoing activities and discussed the remaining priorities to ensure the successful completion of the project.

Throughout the discussions, the consortium reinforced its commitment to advancing trustworthy, green, adaptive and human-centric Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Europe. Particular attention was given to consolidating research outcomes, strengthening collaboration between academic and industrial partners, and exploring opportunities to build upon the knowledge and expertise developed throughout the project.

As ENFIELD enters its final phase, the consortium remains focused on maximising the impact of its results and contributing to the development of innovative and responsible AI solutions that address European technological and societal challenges.

The consortium extends its appreciation to INESC TEC, particularly Ricardo Bessa, for hosting the meeting, to Georgios Spathoulas from NTNU for the project coordination, and to Mariana Ferreira and Ana Solange Leal from INOVA+ for organising the event. Special thanks are also extended to all consortium partners for their continued dedication, collaboration and contributions to the project’s achievements.
