Application of AI to renewable energy integration & electrical mobility
Date: 19 February 2026 15:00 – 16:00 (CET)
Location: Online (Teams)
Participation is free. Secure your spot here (Registration Closed).
In this webinar, we explore how different AI approaches are being applied to address some of today’s most pressing challenges in renewable energy integration and electrical mobility. How can dynamic electricity tariffs be optimized to support the large-scale adoption of electric vehicles? Can advanced machine learning models be trained collaboratively while preserving data privacy and trust? And how can symbolic AI help us better understand and explain the behavior of increasingly complex power systems?
Three researchers from INESC TEC will share their latest work and perspectives through the following talks:
- Explaining the optimization of dynamic tariffs for electric vehicles,
Tiago Bessa (INESC TEC) - Towards privacy-preserving and trustworthy federated learning with Kolmogorov–Arnold networks,
Carla Gonçalves (INESC TEC) - Explaining power system dynamics with symbolic AI models,
Francisco Fernandes (INESC TEC)
Join us to learn how artificial intelligence is being used to make energy systems more efficient, transparent and resilient, while supporting the transition towards sustainable mobility.
The webinar is organized in the framework of the Horizon Project ENFIELD - European Lighthouse to Manifest Trustworthy and Green AI – and it will take place on the Teams platform.
